Camera Repair Service
Low Pass Filter Replacement Service
Would you like to replace a scratched or damaged imaging sensor?
Most digital cameras have a "Low Pass Filter (LP)" installed in front of the imaging sensor. This "LP" filter blocks unwanted UV and IR light from reaching the imaging sensor, allowing the camera to render normal images of what the human eye can see. The LP filter is the most external piece of glass covering the sensor so it protects the imaging sensor from damage caused by foreign particles or improper cleaning methods. If your imaging sensor has been scratched or damaged you will notice imperfections on the resulting images that cannot be cleaned or removed.
Most camera manufacturers do not provide the LP filters separately from the imaging sensor, making a normal repair very expensive as repairing the filter involves changing the the imaging sensor.
Cheap Astrophotography can replace the LP filter in your camera with an original Canon Low Pass filter, returning the image quality of your camera back to perfect working order. The price for the service is £87.99 which includes dispatch via Royal Mail insured next day special delivery.
The service includes installation and calibration services. It is only available for the following camera models:
-Canon 1100D/Rebel T3
-Canon 450D/Rebel XSi
-Canon 600D/Rebel T3i/Kiss X5
